Musk sued OpenAI for prioritizing profits over its original mission, but OpenAI denies wrongdoing. With a rumored $40B SoftBank investment on the line, the trial’s outcome could significantly impact OpenAI’s future and the AI industry at large.

Baidu launched ERNIE 4.5, an upgraded multimodal model with better reasoning, coding, and language skills, claiming it outperforms GPT-4o at just 1% of the cost. It also introduced ERNIE X1, a deep-thinking AI rivaling DeepSeek’s R1 at half the price.

With ERNIE 4.5 priced at $0.55 per million tokens, Baidu is driving an AI price war that could push Western competitors to lower costs. As China scales ultra-affordable AI, global access to advanced models is set to expand rapidly.

Zoom’s AI Companion now features advanced memory and reasoning, enabling it to identify and complete tasks across the platform. New tools include automatic task execution, meeting follow-ups, document generation, and calendar management.

Launching in April, a $12/month Custom AI Companion add-on will offer AI avatars, personal AI coaching, and more. As Zoom shifts to an AI-first strategy, these updates move it closer to CEO Eric Yuan’s vision of AI digital twins that can attend meetings on users’ behalf.
