AI startup Groq has teamed up with Saudi oil giant Aramco to create the world’s largest AI inferencing center in Saudi Arabia, initially powering 19,000 language processing units (LPUs) with plans to expand to 200,000. Aramco is backing the nine-figure project, tapping into Saudi Arabia's low energy costs and strategic location to serve 4 billion people across the Middle East, Africa, and India.

Set to launch by the end of 2024, this data center highlights Saudi Arabia's AI ambitions and Groq's ability to scale cutting-edge infrastructure. Expect faster chatbot responses and AI advancements as the partnership evolves!

Fei-Fei Li, dubbed the “Godmother of AI,” has launched World Labs, a company focused on developing AI models that understand and generate 3D environments. Their Large World Models (LWMs) aim to move beyond 2D imagery by integrating physics and semantics to better interact with 3D worlds.

With over $230 million in funding, the startup is targeting applications like creating and editing virtual 3D spaces for creatives. This breakthrough could push AI beyond text-based models, revolutionizing fields like AR/VR, robotics, and architecture.
