Microsoft is introducing ten pre-built autonomous agents to Dynamics 365, targeting areas like sales, finance, and supply chain. These agents can operate independently, responding to business signals without human oversight, and come with built-in security features like encryption and data loss prevention.

Users will also be able to create custom agents through Copilot Studio, expanding automation possibilities. Microsoft calls these agents “the new apps for an AI-powered world,” marking a major step toward transforming business workflows with AI.

Researchers at UCLA have created SLIViT, an AI model that analyzes 3D medical scans like MRIs and CTs with expert-level accuracy, cutting analysis time by 5,000 times compared to human specialists. It requires fewer training samples than typical AI models, making it more practical for real-world use.

SLIViT’s use of transfer learning allows it to efficiently train on small 3D datasets, democratizing advanced medical imaging for providers with limited resources. Its potential to speed up diagnostics could be a game-changer in healthcare.

Archetype AI has introduced 'Newton', a foundational AI model that learns physics directly from raw sensor data without human input. Newton can predict system behaviors, like pendulum motion, and even outperformed specialized AI in tasks like forecasting citywide power consumption.

Founded by ex-Google researchers, Archetype AI has secured $13M in funding. Newton’s ability to develop a generalized understanding of physical systems marks a shift towards truly autonomous AI, capable of adapting to new environments and tasks without human guidance.

Boston Dynamics and the Toyota Research Institute (TRI) have teamed up to enhance the capabilities of the Atlas electric robot by integrating TRI’s Large Behavior Models (LBMs), designed to teach robots multi-tasking, vision, and language skills. This collaboration merges the robotics expertise of two competing automakers, Hyundai (which owns Boston Dynamics) and Toyota.

A key element is TRI’s 'Diffusion Policy,' allowing robots to learn over 60 complex skills from human demonstrations without coding. As the race for commercial humanoids heats up, this partnership positions both companies to compete against rivals like Tesla and Figure.
