Altera, founded by ex-MIT professor Dr. Robert Yang, is pushing AI boundaries with its GPT-4o-powered "digital humans." These agents outperform rivals in Minecraft, playing autonomously for up to 4 hours and collecting 32% of items—vastly better than competitors. Altera’s brain-inspired architecture mimics human cognition, enabling more natural, prolonged interactions.

AI's New Role in Pain Relief

Researchers at Cleveland Clinic and IBM have developed LISA-CPI, an AI model that predicts how drugs and gut microbes interact with pain receptors. By analyzing the molecular structure of compounds and the 3D shape of receptors, the model identified existing FDA-approved drugs, like methylergometrine, that could be repurposed for non-addictive pain relief.
